When Hurricane Rita wreaked havoc on the Gulf Coast in 2005, there wasn’t much of a bright side in sight. But for FivePoint Credit Union, there was at least one silver lining. By taking its soon-to-be-outgrown main office with her, Rita left an opening for the CU to rebuild bigger and better for its next era of member service.
In designing the new administrative building, NewGround’s vision focused on awe-inspiring architecture outside and enhancing the employee experience inside. Within a towering, illuminated glass façade, an ultramodern interior combines vast openness and functionality with iconic elements from FivePoint’s visual brand and deep-rooted history. Engaged employees enjoy office spaces awash in natural sunlight, exercise in state-of-the-art fitness rooms, and socialize in ambient lounges with mood-lifting motifs, from trendy bistro to downtown diner.
In the end, FivePoint’s stunning main office stands as a monument to a new beginning: one brimming with a sense of pride, promise, and Texas-sized optimism to weather any storm.
