The Challenge

Every client is different, and every client has different locations and space needs to work with. For Farmers & Merchants Bank, the spaces they were working with already existed, but they were empty shells. They needed a client who could work with pre-existing spaces, not just a ground-up build firm. This client needed to be able to adapt their brand standards to several different space requirements and sizes to find a fit and style that would work regardless of the area. As a completely in-house design and build firm with renovation and ground-up experience, NewGround was the perfect fit for the job.

The Journey

For F&M Bank, NewGround partnered to renovate and build out the interior of four separate locations, one of which was a historical renovation building. Each of these buildings had different styles, sizes, and spaces to work with, meaning that NewGround needed to remain flexible and adaptable throughout the process. To accomplish this, F&M Bank needed brand guidelines for a space that could easily be customized and scaled depending on where they were. By utilizing NewGround’s innovative Discovery Session, the client was able to come up with a brand guideline package that worked regardless of the space. This package included environmental graphics, furniture, graphic walls, branding, furnishes, and finishes. Each space was equipped with a conference room that featured local photography, branding elements, and a community message specific to the location, ensuring that F&M Bank’s core values and care for their local community was consistent throughout. We also worked with local subcontractors in each location, keeping the work tied closely to the community. F&M Bank’s branding is present throughout each space, with rich wooden tones, beautiful blue coloring from the logo incorporated through environmental graphics, signage, and furniture, and lighting that brings the space to life and creates a welcoming atmosphere.

By collaborating and understanding F&M Bank’s core values, brand standards, and communities, NewGround was able to craft new spaces that will meet customer and employee demands seamlessly. Whether it’s the vestibule customers walk through or the branded graphics and wall coverings, every inch of the space is custom built and designed with F&M Bank in mind. Whether it’s a drive-thru, vestibule, or interior lobby, F&M Bank’s branding is consistent, beautiful, and sure to impress customers.
