The Challenge

After meeting with RadiFi Federal Credit Union (RadiFi FCU) project executives at a trade show in Orlando, Florida, NewGround solidified a partnership with a client set on developing a prototype and a kit of parts for a new core and shell build in Jacksonville, Florida. However, this project had to overcome several challenges, such as finding the perfect site for the project, overcoming a hurricane (or two), and fixing a leaky roof. Despite these challenges, NewGround worked collaboratively with the client to deliver a fully functional space with beautiful designs and seamless brand integrations.

The Journey

With any project, the core build must be sturdy and high-quality enough to support the rest of the work. No amount of stunning designs and ergonomic furniture can help fix a building with a leaky roof or electrical failures. Thankfully, NewGround is equipped to handle every aspect of project delivery, including problems such as these. Once the building is secured and foundational issues resolved, then the design team can begin implementing designs that work cohesively into the space.

By working collaboratively with the client, NewGround’s design team knew the theme needed to revolve around unity and an unbroken flow. To accomplish this, they integrated a “ribbon” theme from a graphic and architectural standpoint. The architecture is free flowing, and the graphics wrap around the room with an unbroken ribbon line. This creates a “flow” through the area that naturally catches the eye and helps draw attention throughout the space. Furthermore, the architecture of the room itself was built to incorporate this with curved walls. Additional millwork was installed to continue this ribbon theme.

The Destination

All projects can have potential problems, but by working collaboratively to work through those problems early, a project can continue with minimum interruptions and delays. Overall, RadiFi FCU now has a space that speaks to unity and strong communication, themes present in both the space and their own organizational structure. We are proud to have worked on this project and look forward to seeing what the future holds for RadiFi FCU.
